Retired Special Agent, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
Greg spent twenty-seven years with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), twenty-five as a Special Agent before retiring. During his tenure, he was an accomplished manager and investigator with experience in the FBI's Organized Crime/Drug, Violent Crime, Cyber Crime, White Collar Crime, Counter Intelligence and Counter Terrorism Programs. He conducted numerous internal investigations as an inspection certified investigator having completed a requisite number of intensive audits of FBI Field and FBI HQ operations.
From January of 2008 until April of 2013, he was assigned to the Cyber Crime and Intelligence Programs as well serving as the FBI's InfraGard Coordinator for the state of North Carolina. In this capacity, he served as the FBI's liaison to private industry and consulted on a daily basis with private industry security professionals and industry executives on matters concerning IT Threats, Physical Security Threats, Theft of Intellectual Property, Industrial Espionage, and the Counter Terrorism Threat Landscape.
After retiring from the FBI, Greg served as the Director of North Carolina Alcohol Law Enforcement (NCALE) and was subsequently appointed as the Commissioner of Operations for the North Carolina Department of Public Safety. In this capacity, he had administrative oversight for the department's Budget and Analysis, Controller's Office, Governmental Affairs, Information Technology, Internal Audit, Purchasing and Logistics, Victims Services, NC Emergency Management, Governor's Center for Safer Schools and the Governor's Crime Commission. Previously, he served as the Commissioner of Law Enforcement for the NCDPS.
Today Greg is SVP of Strategy & Development for one of the top risk management and crisis response providers. Greg speaks regularly for private, public, and non-profit organizations.
