Speaker | NFL Alumnus | Actor | Fitness Coach and Health Expert

Born in Long Island, New York, Pete began playing contact football at the age of seven and continued playing for the next twenty years including captain of his winning New Hyde Park High School team, University of Maryland team to the ACC Championship and his appearance in the prestigious Citrus Bowl. Pete received All ACC and All-American Honorable Mention honors.

Subsequent to his collegiate sports career, Pete was a First Round selection (sixteenth overall) in the 1984 NFL Draft; selected by the Cincinnati Bengals. Pete also spent four years with the Kansas City Chiefs, notably starting at right defensive end in their playoff run of 1986 and wrapped up his six-year NFL run with the Los Angeles Raiders teaming with future Hall of Famers: Howie Long, Marcus Allen, and Mike Haynes.

Upon retirement from the NFL, Pete transitioned into a successful career as a fitness model and actor starring alongside Hollywood legends Clint Eastwood as "Swede" Johanson in "Heartbreak Ridge," Burt Reynolds in "Heat and Evening Shade," Patrick Dempsey in "Loverboy," Pete Andropolous in "Johnny Be Good" and various others totaling more than 120 feature film and television productions.

Since that time, Pete has worked directly with world renown fat-loss expert Dr. Rob Huizenga MD, of "The Biggest Loser" in the design and implementation of physical fitness programs for guests of The Clinic in Malibu. Pete works hands-on with client guests, helping them maximize fat loss, improve their metabolic health and enhance overall health and well-being.

In 2004 Pete developed a system of training that he calls Functional Advanced Sports Training or FAST, a melding of numerous scientifically proven training methodologies to optimize neuromuscular control and maximize athletic performance.

In 2010 Pete and business partner Andrea Logan opened a successful CrossFit gym CrossFit APx in Cary, NC. After three years of profitable operation, Pete and Andrea decided to pursue the next level of success in Pete’s adopted hometown of Los Angeles. Since his return he has directed training to some of Hollywood's luminaries including a-list actors Tobey Maguire, Joseph Fiennes and Academy Award winner Benicio Del Toro.

Pete is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Sports Fitness Specialist and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach by the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Pete’s early exposure and relationships with internationally renown strength and conditioning experts Dr. Fred Hatfield and Frank Costello motivated him to explore cutting-edge training methods and techniques. He successfully rehabilitated from two spinal surgeries, which helped him to solidify his ideas on the importance of spinal stability and core conditioning. Throughout the years, Pete has remained deeply committed to maintaining his strength, flexibility, conditioning and overall health through regular workouts.

Pete brings a zeal and passion to his studies and client training, initiated by five orthopedic surgeries (due to 20 years of contact football) and a desire to achieve productive self-actualization. This same natural curiosity and commitment to ongoing education is the central focus of Pete’s continuous research in the field of Athlete Performance.

Pete speaks frequently on topics of motivation, and health & wellness through his high-performance training programs which assist individuals, businesses (e.g. corporate health programs), c-suite executives and professional athletes how to create positive change, human flourishing and prosperity through fitness, wellness and healthy lifestyle choices.
