Author | Speaker | Former U.S. Special Operations Interpreter
He was the Navy SEALs’ most trusted translator—a man credited with saving countless American lives. He was a "terp" aka interpreter—with a job so dangerous they couldn't even use his real name.
As the insurgency in Iraq intensified following the American invasion, U.S. Navy SEALs were called upon to root terrorists from their lairs and came to rely on one man to guide them and watch their backs. They named him Johnny Walker but they would soon call him brother. Johnny is the only Iraqi civilian bestowed with an honorary SEAL Trident for his patriotic service.
*Johnny keynotes regularly with Retired Navy SEAL Jason Tuschen.
